Zeolite Molecular Sieve Paste

4A SUPERSIV® PASTE is made from a 50:50 mix of 4A SUPERSIV® POWDER and Castor Oil. It is a ‘convenience product’ made for SME manufacturers, who don’t yet have the equipment for blending fine powders into liquid formulations.

Just like our 4A Powder, this desiccant is essentially a ‘legacy product’ that’s been surpassed in its performance by 3A Zeolites which you can find here.

As a result, of this product having been surpassed in both is desiccation ability and in it economic benefit (per kilo of finished formula) we only supply this 4A PASTE to those customers who have a strong personal preference for this material, or who have significant change-control obligations to their own end customer, that they are keen not to adjust.

Frankly speaking the only reason that anybody still uses 4A Zeolite is that they appear to be ‘low cost’ relative to 3A product, but this is a ‘false economy‘ as [a] they are generally less effective that 3A Zeolites, so you need to add MORE of them to your formula (which negates the cost advantage), and [b] they are more difficult to handle in the workplace and are more prone to cause additional formulating problems. As a result, 98% of our paste customers use the 3A SUPERSIV grade, which you can find here.
