B-SUREâ„¢ Aluminium Packaging consists of multiple thin layers of plastic and aluminium, bonded together to create a material known for its durability, flexibility, and also it’s protection against: moisture, gases, and light.

Generally, these foils have three layers: a robust outer layer made from Polyester, Nylon or Polypropylene, an Aluminium Foil core and an inner layer of a cost-effective polymer like Polyethylene or its copolymer, which offers an excellent heat-sealing capability.

The versatility of our aluminium packaging is defined by its composition, final form, and thickness (our foils are typically between 0.06 mm and 0.25 mm thick).

These materials are usually constructed with bonded layers of plastic and aluminium, though contemporary versions might employ ‘metallized films‘ for products with shorter shelf lives, like snack-food.

Due to the minimal thickness of each layer, we can achieve precise customization: tailoring our aluminium packaging to specific product needs, and enhancing its shelf life.

The combination ensures the product maintains a high-quality appearance and feel, suitable for both in-store and online display. It also guards against environmental factors, while providing an excellent platform for branding, labelling, and product differentiation.

Our protective packaging can be run on a variety of well-known packing machines. B-SUREâ„¢ Foil Rolls are compatible with Horizontal Form Fill Seal (HFFS) systems, including flow-wrap machines that utilize a single foil roll to create fin-seal pouches. They are also suitable for other HFFS machines, that dual foil rolls (positioned at the top and bottom). These setups can produce several pouches simultaneously, or craft 4-side sealed pouches.

Additionally, our foil rolls can operate on Vertical Form Fill Seal (VFFS) machines, whether they employ one or two rolls. These machines can produce either fin-seal or 4-side seal pouches, with production rates ranging from less than 20 to over 150 packs per minute.

The key specifications of B-SUREâ„¢ Foil Rolls include:

Width – Determined by the size and design of the packaging (along with the type of packaging equipment in used to produce it).

Reel Dimensions – This includes the outer diameter and inner core size of the supporting reel, which are set by the packaging machine.

Winding Direction – Specifies which side of the foil is outermost on the roll, typically dictated by the packaging machine.

Friction Coefficient – Controls the slipperiness of the foil, which can be adjusted as needed.

Additional considerations might include whether a customer needs a printed marker or ‘eye spot’ on the foil, to indicate where it should be sealed and cut.
